I absolutely adore doing work like this. This piece was created with one word in mind: “Uplift.”

At this time in my life, there were a lot of things on my mind, and it was starting to make me anxious and depressed. I hated this feeling, and it made me think about other people in the world who are/were going through the same thing. I thought, what would be an uplifting saying to help someone get through a rough day? How could I not only represent it with words, but with imagery as well?

I wanted the piece to represent many iconic bands and songs from the  chosen time period. But I also wanted to feature counterpoints by using typefaces not from that period, but also give some of the typographic forms their own voice from that time period.

Meduse Branding. Spring 2011. This whole brand was designed from the ground up. Meduse is a men’s tie and accessory company. It is a high fashion brand.

This book explodes with vivid colors of the burning universe, mixed a flowy darkness that represents evil. It reminds me of a witches dress, flowing in the night sky.

This poster was created for the famous movie “Heart of Darkness.” It was a typographic exercise that was very enjoyable but was also a challange.
