In February of 2012, Adele swept the Grammys by winning each category for which she was nominated. Because of the triumphant win, a congratulatory note was in standing. The main objective of this poster design was to show Adele how proud America and her fans were for having such a sweeping win at the 2012 Grammy Awards. This piece was hand drawn in a process that took over 48 hours to complete. Each letter was started by a pencil skeleton,
and patterns were drawn on top of each other and beside each other over and over again to create the lace patters. It has had many changes, but the lace typography never changes. Each letter is different, none are the same. I didn’t want the letters to
be the same because I felt Adele deserved each letter to be hand drawn. She is a beauty and hones her craft while still accepting her flaws at the same time.
