While pursuing my Masters, I had a class where we would do weekly typographic studies on random ideas. The idea was just one word (ex: soft, warm, etc..). Each week we would email each other what we had came up for the ‘idea of the week’. I used both real world elements, and also pure computer graphics, depending on whatever idea popped into my head.

Shown here are: Crinkle, which represents sound. This was created by printing the word in bebas neue, and crumbling the paper up. It was then back lit and photographed. The next word was soft, to which I used the word fluffy, creating an animal out of the word.Fluffy was created in Photoshop. 3rd shown is Chewy, based off the idea/word eat. 4th is the word “Fishy.” This word represents the beach. All made at the beach and photographed.
